Backpack with a capacity of 30–40 liters
A 1-liter water bottle. There are plenty of water sources on the mountain.
1 synthetic short-sleeved T-shirt and one long-sleeved shirt
A warm fleece jacket
A good rain jacket (Gore-Tex membrane)
Trekking boots, mid-cut or high-cut, and a sturdy pair of socks
Lightweight trekking pants
Hat (preferably with a brim) and a hiking scarf
Sunglasses
Sunscreen with a high SPF and preferably water-resistant
Headlamp
Beanie and 1 pair of thin fleece gloves
Folding hiking poles

Winter Grammos

40–60-liter backpack
Ice axe and crampons (aluminum ones are sufficient)
Thermal underwear
Winter pants and, definitely, a pair of thin waterproof pants
A good winter jacket.
Windbreaker with a heavy-duty Gore-Tex-type membrane
Full-face helmet and a thin beanie to wear over it.
1 pair of gloves, a good helmet (one lightweight and one full-face or ski/storm mask)
2 pairs of wool socks
High-top gaiters with a thick zipper or sturdy Velcro
A 1-liter thermos, or better yet, a 1.5-liter insulated water bottle
Headlamp and spare batteries
Sunscreen with a high SPF
Trekking poles are essential.
